Five Tips to Live a More Productive Life… Get your Complimentary Checklist Today

How many hours of your life do you think you’ve spent at the dentist, letting the hygienist do her/his thing? Here in the US, you’ve been conditioned since before you can even remember that your teeth need some maintenance from time to time (every 6 months, to be exact).  And those of you who are rule followers like me have abided by those rules for many, many years, right?

Maintenance and cleaning are a part of life, for your teeth and in many other areas of your life-  and for very good reason.

When you let too much time pass, things get MESSY.

Your teeth get covered in plaque (I know, that’s a gross image isn’t it?)

Your shelves and furniture collect dust.

Your closets fill up with unused clothing and accessories and become hard to navigate.

Guess what? Your mind, your thoughts, your habits and your business get messy too, if you don’t dedicate intentional time to clean them up!

A Mental Hygienist

A marketing expert with whom I work made the greatest analogy a few weeks ago, as he and I were digging into my philosophy and methodology as a business productivity coach.

“You are like a hygienist for the mind!”

I loved the analogy as soon as I heard it.  Why?  Because a significant amount of the work I do with clients really is about cleaning up and refining habits, routines, systems, and thoughts.  I am like the dental hygienist, shining a light from the outside looking in, providing an outside perspective so that my clients can see things from a new angle, from a different perspective.

Because you can’t read the label from inside the bottle, wouldn’t you agree?

Maintenance is essential to personal growth, to professional development, and to business success.   Coaching can provide that maintenance, to help you find and fix your blindspots, to help you read your compass and find the fastest path to your destination.  Coaches help you avoid detours & find the path of least resistance, making sure you have the right tools in your toolkit.

How could a mental hygienist  make a positive impact on you and your business? Is it time for your first – or next- cleaning?

Let me know if I can give you that deep cleaning that you need.  And, don’t forget to schedule your next 6 month cleaning with your dentist
